I’m getting married at a castle in France and for my wedding favors I’m giving my guests travel gift bags. The only problem is now I’m not sure what to put in them. Any ideas?

I have a very good friend who married about a week ago. I couldn’t attend his wedding ceremony because I was out of town for business. I need to present a fitting wedding gift to my friend and wife. Please advise what is best for a wedding gift.?

He is my date’s best friend, and his wedding is approaching (in another country though, but he will back with his wife). Although I have not recd any formal invitation (nor do I think I will because we aren’t that close), I still would like to gift him something from my side, just as a token. What kind of gift would be appropriate? And should I gift it before he leaves or after he gets back when he is with his wife?

My husband’s co-worker is getting married. My husband is an attorney and works in a professional office. We are going to the ceremony and reception. I don’t believe in the “pay for your plate” theory because I had a very fancy wedding (which cost my parents a bundle) and we never expected guests to pay for their plate via a gift or monetary amount. At that point they are not “guests.” What would be a nice amount to give under the circumstances. I haven’t been to a wedding in a few years and need some good info.

Can’t afford a wedding gift, should I attend with only a card or just bow out all together. I’ve been told that a gift is expected even if I don’t attend! I would rather just go and share in the lovely experience of their wedding day.

My husband and I are overdue on giving a wedding gift to our friends who got married about 14 months ago. Its actually my husband’s friends so I was hoping he would take care of it but he never did, so now I am before it gets any longer. Obviously we are quite embarassed but I don’t think we should necessiarily focus on that in the card, but rather still congratulate them. Perhaps say that we still fondly remember their wedding day?? We will not be delivering the gift in person, it will be mailed, and I would like to keep the card somewhat brief. How should we handle this situation? And, what should we say in the card? A man who you’ve been seriously dating for some time gives his co-worker (boss) a gift card from Victoria Secrets as a wedding gift. Is that professional? Would you be concerned especially if he has never bought you anything (as far as clothes) and you have never met the person. You were not even invited to the wedding. What do you think?
