Can’t afford a wedding gift, should I attend with only a card or just bow out all together. I’ve been told that a gift is expected even if I don’t attend! I would rather just go and share in the lovely experience of their wedding day.

My husband and I are overdue on giving a wedding gift to our friends who got married about 14 months ago. Its actually my husband’s friends so I was hoping he would take care of it but he never did, so now I am before it gets any longer. Obviously we are quite embarassed but I don’t think we should necessiarily focus on that in the card, but rather still congratulate them. Perhaps say that we still fondly remember their wedding day?? We will not be delivering the gift in person, it will be mailed, and I would like to keep the card somewhat brief. How should we handle this situation? And, what should we say in the card? Thanks for your help!!

My fiancé and I are planning an outdoor wedding at a golf course, but I’m a little worried about the date. We are planning to have our wedding on the Sunday before Labor Day.

How late do golfers typically stay out playing during the summer? Our ceremony is set for 5:30pm. Will the amount have dwindled down by then?

And generally, will it be extra crowded on the Sunday before Labor Day because of the holiday weekend?
