Well I have this very Special girl who I really like and I want to give her something special before she leaves for a long summer break. I want it to be something that she will remember me for, something that says I think your amazing and something sweet. Sounds like a lot I know. I just want it to be perfect. So I need some ideas.
The title leaves a bit to be desired, but…
What do you think of this poem- and by that, I mean, how do you interpret it? What does it bring to mind? Perhaps tell me about the atmosphere it seems to create, if it gets the point across well.

Friendship is the brightest day
with a softer, sweeter light,
a gift, to be held dear-
She, accustomed to the night
in utter isolation, dies,
all for her heart, so filled with the fear
that a tormenting sun would burn her eyes-
and leave her blind to love.
