I’m the best man for my friend’s wedding next month, and I’m trying to think of clean ideas for a bachelor party. I’m not sure what kinds of things are “normal”…but we’re all Salvation Army boys, so no drinking, nudey bars or gambling…what else does that leave us with?! Can we just go to a restaurant and have a meal, maybe give him bachelor-gifts or something?

I mean from what I’ve seen of them. I don’t like them at all. Plus he went to one of his friend’s bachelor party like a month ago and got drunk and according to what I heard he was all over some stripper skank so I can only imagine what he will do at his own party. Honestly I don’t see the point of a guy getting drunk and dancing with skanks before they get married. I’m having a bridal shower given to me by my best friend but it’s nothing like that it’s just a calm shower with me and my friends having finger sandwiches and giving me gifts, I know guys don’t have that kind of thing but if it’s not then he shouldn’t have one. He’s mad at him but I don’t think that’s wrong.

okay, i have been asking God to tell me who my real friends were. valentine’s day, this girl named ashley gave people gifts for v’s day, everybody except me. then she bought her best friend a shirt. i thought that i was this girl’s friend. we talk and she called me her “good friend” once. she didnt even tell me happy valentine’s day. she just rubbed the whole thing in my face, and i was like, WHAT THE HECK! okay so im a very emotional person, so i cried cuz i felt so left out. i got so very mad at ashley for what she did. and i gave her things when she wanted them. i gave her candy-she loves candy! so i feel like she just used me. its like she wanted my friendship because i gave her alot of candy. but now i just dont know…
she probably thinks that other people are cooler down to earth people than i am. but i would give this girl candy because i wanted to do it, and she didnt even have the nerve to give me anything for v’s day or even tell me happy valentines day. and i feel so used.

I see so many people buy all these gifts with Christmas in mind and stuff like that – how come advertisers don’t promote Hanukkah (sp?) or Ramadan or Kwanzaa or even Yuletide? I celebrate Christmas, but not until January 7 (and people don’t extend Christmas for those who believe in the Julian calendar, do they?). Do some people value their holidays with more respect than commercialism? What gives?
