Is this “Sweetest Day” crap just another made up holiday?

What the hell is this? Why haven’t I heard of this before? Do I really need a holiday to tell my wife I love her? She knows I love her and that she’s the most important thing in my life. Yes I heard it was invented by Hallmark to make more $$$. It’s observed more often in some states then others. Here in the midwest it is like a mini-valentine’s day.
Some people need a special day to remind their spouses how much they love/appreciate them. Your wife is lucky to know that every day.

Sweetest Day is big in Ohio where i live and it is not crap, it is not like valentine’s day. I love it how people can say, “oh yea that holiday *****…hey!!!, wait what is it????” How can u talk about something if you dont know what it is…
If is a holiday in the North eastern US and yes it was created by flower and card companies but it does have meaning….It is not just for your spouse or SO but it could be just to tell someone thanks for being there….being a SWEET friend, family member, grandparent, co-worker, boss, or whatever…this year i bought a rose 4 my mom and my best (girl)friend…they loved them!!! HAPPY SWEETEST DAY
