I think so…this year i think they will pull away early from all the teams in the division. I love all the haters that answered this ahahha. The phillies winning the division the last 2 years are a fluke and also Lidge not blowing a save…watch him get rocked this year and be demoted to triple A. We will win the division by at least 10 games because without a doubt we NOW have the best team in the Eastern Division at least. Accually i think we have the best team in the NL now.

Take away K-Rod. You had Wagner last year and Billy was better than him. Just because you got the guy who broke a record for saves per season, he has more opportunities than any other closers. Saves and K-Rod are both overrated. Johan? He had a great year, but it’s the whole team who needs to perform well to make it to the WS.

Delgado is on the last legs of his career. If he can make it another 2-3 seasons and get over that 500 hr mark then he’ll probably be a hall of famer, but not right away.
K-Rod is overrated and not even the best closer on the team. He’s 1 or 2 years away from losing his status as a closer and being lost in baseball history.
Reyes and Wright are way too young to even be discussing enshrinement. Both are great players but are also one injury away from being footnotes in a Mets program.
Santana is a great pitcher now but is another player that has a lot of work to do to be considered a Hall of Famer. If he’s still winning 15 games a year in another 8 years then he’s in.
Beltran is probably the most underrated player in MLB. He will more than likely be a hall of famer and IS the best player on the Mets. The expectations that are laid on him are so high that even when he puts up remarkable numbers he is seen at best as not playing up to his potential and at worst a failure.
Overall, I’d say that they are one of the most gifted teams in baseball but those guys in Philly can make a great claim to that title and so can Boston and Tampa Bay.

Santana, Wright,and Reyes have a chance to be hofers. Delgado has an outside chance, but he needs to reach 500hrs. Beltran and krod have almost zero chance. But yes, they are undeniably talented. But the most talented? I would give the edge to the Rays. Their talent level is through the roof. Phils also edge the mets.
