I’m offended at the Hallmark store. There’s all these Jesus figurines during the holidays?
10 Cane asked:
How dare they offend me with their appeasing Christians! Why won’t they think of the children who have to see that crap!?
Who wants to boycott Hallmark?

“I’m offended **BY** the Hallmark store.”
Damn, I’m 0 for 2 today:
“There **ARE** all these Jesus figurines during the holidays…”
Jeme: Notice I answered that question also. It was the inspiration for this tongue-in-cheek question.

I think that you are a bigot. You think that you should be able to have your way and other people should not?

Jesus isn’t offensive — He cared a great deal for children. He said “Let the little children come to me” when His apostles tried to block them from approaching Jesus. And He told us to love our neighbor as ourselves, so how exactly is Jesus offending you?
But anyway, it’s called Freedom of Religion. If you’re that offended by Jesus, you may want to consider moving to Iran or China. I can guarantee you won’t see ANY Jesus figurines in stores around those countries.

Christmas and Easter are and have been very busy holidays for businesses. Hallmark has so far been a store with tasteful merchandise. Should that have changed, I will no longer shop there. You have that same option. Support another business that sells the things you are looking for. There are plenty around. BTW, I don’t think a business denies itself the opportunity to make money; Christians cash is as good as anyones, last time I checked.

Why be offended? They’re just trying to make a buck. You know, like all the preachers do, only they do it year round.

If you don’t like what they have, don’t work or shop there.

The only reason I want to boycott Hallmark, is they have all of these same-sex marriages cards.
It’s like they’re saying this sin is ok, just for money!
Personally, I don’t like Jesus figurines, because they don’t do Him justice, and I feel like they’re using Him to get money. But on the other hand, if it gets the message of Jesus out, I approve.
I’m sorry you think that Jesus figurines are crap. Why is that? What is indecent about Jesus? Are little kids going to look and say, “Oh, Mommy, this horrible store is trying to teach me how to love the God that created me, and loves me more than I could possibly imagine, and died for me, so I won’t have to go to hell and burn for eternity! How dare they!”?

I’m not trying to be smart but if you are offended, it may be your problem. You can choose to shop elsewhere.
There’s a liquor store a block away from my home. I’m “nuts” about honey roasted peanuts. Since I don’t like what they sell and display in the liquor store, rather than “boycott them” for selling what they choose as their business, I walk eight blocks further to the grocery when I have a taste for honey-roasted peanuts.
Another solution: Order your cards online or make them yourself.
Although I was not “offended” when certain well-known stores changed their greetings from a “Christmas theme” to a “Holiday theme,” I didn’t see a reason to boycott them. How they run their business IS their business. I’m invited to shop there but I don’t necessarily have to accept the invitation. I choose another option: Christian stores, bookstores and online shopping.
There are always other choices/options when it comes to shopping.
Best to you.

Check the link in details and still say there are options and people get offended very easily. (Will probably post a similar response on that other question later.)
This asker notes a similar offense but very different point of view:

Where else will you get your *** greeting cards?
Hallmark holiday
Like most others, they use religion and it’s trappings to make a buck.
birthday gift
Not me, I may want to buy one of those figurines.

How are they appeasing Christians by reinforcing a mistaken belief that there is a connection between their religion and a pagan tree day…
Jabberwok (below): actually, the problem is all those little kids looking at what amouonts to a Spider Man figurine while adults tell them that Spider Man is real and has a plan for them if they want to avoid being burned for eternity. Where you get the “love” crap out of Christianity is rather a mystery. Read the Bible sometime: Yahweh is a sadistic sociopath who feels unloved and drowned each and every child and infant on the planet once because he didn’t feel their parents were kissing his a** to his satisfaction.

Christmas is a Christian holiday.
You can’t be offended if you don’t believe in it.

They have to cater to the predominate religion in America, especially at Christmas. Don’t be offended, just don’t buy any.
BTW, I do get your well warranted sarcasm.
