Great holiday traditions?

Long ago, on Christmas mornings, we used to let the kids play with stocking gifts before they would wake us up. Of course, each year they got up earlier and earlier, so we came up with a plan.
We put a dollar in the christmas stocking, and it had a rhyme and hint directing each child where to find the next dollar, and that dollar had a hint too. After $5 (frankly, we ran out of hints and rhymes) the last dollar says Merry Christmas! And then the kids come to “wake us up” to open gifts.
Yes, the pitter-patter of little feet wandering around the house trying to figure out the clues is adorable. And even a little humorous as they got older and had to stifle little profanities (the clues get more challenging with age too).

I don’t think the purpose of the “Conversations” trilogy, et al, was to recruit believers. The purpose was to let people know that God isn’t bound by “people’s” rules for God. God gets to love anybody and everybody without reserve.
And I don’t believe that God cares that we’ve misinterpretted a date to justify giving unconditionally through a foundation of love an good will.
The books also confirm that Mormons, Catholics, Muslims, sinners, and Hindus can be loved by God without belonging to a group or reading a series of books.
Great series, truly! But it loses something when it isn’t written to you, for you, by God. And that is what happens when someone forces it on you.

present idea
The joy of Christmas left me a long time ago when I first learned that it was not the real birth date of Jesus and that the only birthdays celebrated in the bible involved putting people to death as part of the celebration. I later learned that the great messenger Jesus like other great messengers was not Deity. When I learned the Bible was not an authority, I also learned there was no authority available to the masses because God’s truth had been altered so much it was no longer the word of God but the words of man. All of this has changed for those that want it to change because of the miracle books by Neale Donald Walsch known as the Conversations with God books..These books are available at all libraries, and major books stores. They have been read now by more than 30 million people and are published in 34 languages..Getting people to read these books has not been easy but we are making progress. God talks to everyone, primarily through feelings,,and if you feel God is worth the time it will take you to read even the first book in this series, get a copy soon..What do you really have to lose? Haha that’s cute! Well we used to just open our presents on Christmas Eve instead of waiting for Christmas but I think this year we might just stay up till midnight and then open them lol.

This year, I took the video camera into my room, and I am charging it so then I can video taping me waking people up! And it might prove that he was the killer… JK and by that I mean, I hope I wont die from waking up grumpy people!!

Nothing out of the ordinary.
Me and my sibling would wake up reallly early sometimes 4:30 AM and then we would make my mom breakfast.
