Does anyone have a suggestion for a farewell gift for a boss?

My boss just annouced that she is leaving and taking a position in Texas. (She lives in Pennsylvania now.) I have sort of taken charge of finding a farewell gift to give her from our group of 11 employees. Some people have suggested a gift card but she is somewhat of a mentor to me so I would like to get her something meaningful. Something to remind her of the many good times we have all shared. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hmmm…maybe you can all gather together and take a nice group picture, put it in a nice frame and give that to her.
OR you can produce a photo book. Maybe take pictures of everyone and everyone can write a message for your boss underneath their picture.
Maybe throw in a bottle of wine aswell.

You could give her a nice framed picture of all of the staff for her to keep in her new office….or another similar memento that she can look at daily and remind her of the good times. The key is to make it something that will last a long time versus a gift card which she will spend and forget later. Also a greeting card signed by everyone wishing her well is a must. You don’t need to spend much to make it memorable….good luck!
