Yes, you can use a visa gift card online anywhere visa credit cards are accepted. For a list of stores that sell the visa gift card, click the link below.
Before you use the visa gift card online, make sure you call the card issuer and register the card (add your name and billing address to the card), otherwise it may be rejected online.

Yes it would work fine.
Be sure to shop a little for the cards first. Some have fees for issuance, and every time you add value to the card. Do a little shopping first.
