I’m in college and can’t go home for Thanksgiving… so I’m going to my best friend from high school’s house for dinner instead. I know I should bring her family a gift but I dunno what to get/make them… does anyone know what I’m supposed to bring?
I was thinking about bringing a pie but I’m worried that EVERYONE is going to be bringing a pie…

And I’m not 21 yet… so her parents might not approve if I bring alcohol…

Our family was invited to my parents’ friends’ dinner party. They are extremely rich and they will be hiring people to serve the food. I don’t really know what I should wear and if it should be a dress or like a sweater or something. The party is in the evening so I am not really sure how cold its going to be maybe about 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

I really want to get a dress but scared that I will look weird and will be the only person wearing a dress.

And also wear can I find a pear of nice shoes that have a little heel but nothing more than an inch?
oh and just so you know I am 13.

The dog is very large and it’s difficult to comfortably put one’s feet under the table. Also, the dog has a tendency to lick people’s crotches. My brother in law said that the dog likes to sit under the table, and did nothing, so my mom moved to the children’s table. Then the dog followed her to that table.

I was pretty offended by his my brother-in-law’s behavior and I thought he was showing a ot of disrepect to his guest, his mother-in-law and someone who had come a long way for this meal. Is this my problem?

Up north we drink a bit of beer for our Thanksgiving but never more than a keg or two each, after all we have to be socially responsible; we still have to drive our dog sleds homes after the party! I don’t want to offend anyone so is it cool to drink from the keg at dinner or should I just fill up a couple of tankards and cool it till after supper is done? P.S. Unfortunately, I don’t know what kind of wine they drink (they live in Napa, California of all places, so who knows!).
