Ok, here’s the deal. There’s this girl in my school who has a great personality, makes the honor roll, AND is beautiful. This is like a one-in-a-million type of girl. I’m going to try and develop my friendship with her before V-Day.

The problem? A bunch of other guys like her too. These guys are almost failing school and they play sports (jocks basically). However, these guys are very afraid when it comes to asking girls out (and I can’t blame them). I’m afraid that they might man up and ask her out too.

I need a gift that is sure to win her over. I was thinking maybe a single red rose with a card that says “Will you be my valentine?” or something.

PS: If it helps, we’re in 8th grade and the V-Day party will most likely be a dance. Please don’t tell me this is the millionth question like this. I know.

this girl.. we used to be really close friends but things have changed and weve both changed allot since..but latley i have been having really important exams.. and it was her birthday two days ago.. i got her a card and explained that ive been busy and il give her her gift in the next few days..but she keeps hinting that not only does she want a gift but she wants a big shindig aswel!! i cant.. first off i havnet got the money and second i just dont have the time at the moment.. shes a bit of a daddy’s girl..and i have mentioned to her that im having these problems but she doesnt seem to notice..i thought she was a good friend enough to realise that gifts and parties are just bonuses to friendships.. so what should i do???..

holiday gift

okay, i have been asking God to tell me who my real friends were. valentine’s day, this girl named ashley gave people gifts for v’s day, everybody except me. then she bought her best friend a shirt. i thought that i was this girl’s friend. we talk and she called me her “good friend” once. she didnt even tell me happy valentine’s day. she just rubbed the whole thing in my face, and i was like, WHAT THE HECK! okay so im a very emotional person, so i cried cuz i felt so left out. i got so very mad at ashley for what she did. and i gave her things when she wanted them. i gave her candy-she loves candy! so i feel like she just used me. its like she wanted my friendship because i gave her alot of candy. but now i just dont know…
she probably thinks that other people are cooler down to earth people than i am. but i would give this girl candy because i wanted to do it, and she didnt even have the nerve to give me anything for v’s day or even tell me happy valentines day. and i feel so used.

anniversary gifts

Well, me and a friend were friends for about 2 yrs. Then she got pregnant, and she changed. She told me I was getting on her nerves. She never told me why but, I figured it was because her husband and I had a good relationship too (like I said, I considered them family) and he came over on several occasions to work on different things around our house. My husband is not an “outside” person. He doesn’t know how to do much house repairs so since he did, I asked him to do a lot of things. I don’t know if she thought something was going on but, it wasn’t. Anyway, she had her child in May, I’ve only seen her a couple of times since then. I, since then, had a baby. She never called or emailed me to ask how I was doing nor did she get me anything when I was pregnant or when my baby was born. All of a sudden, I started my new job at a daycare and she puts her son there and her son and my other daughter are in the same class. Well, she saw my daughter and found out I was working there and she came all the way across the building looking for me. Then she talked to me for awhile, asked me to do lunch with her sometime & then said she had a gift for my baby and just hadn’t got it to her. SO, then she left and when she came back yesterday afternoon to pick up her son. I was working in her son’s room and she said, wow seeing you twice in one day and then she gave me a gift for my baby. I was in shock, I guess she went home, got the gift and brought it back to me. But, I’m so flabbergasted. I don’t know what to feel. I mean, it’s been almost a year without any conversations with her. A part of me wants to rekindle the friendship, but a part of me is very leery. What do you think?

i made a friend at the beginning of the school year. a few weeks ago was the last day of school. i wasnt expecting a gift but the gift she gave me made me upset. It was an extremely old, used, torn-up, comic book. It wasnt even the first one in the series (it was vol.22). It also had her name written on the cover in pen.

She told me that it was the first book she ever read (which is not true) and it was given to her by her cousin when she was little (but it doesn’t look like the level of a 5 yr old).

She also wrote on a piece of line paper that was ripped off. It had a little note on it saying how she didnt give the comic book to her other friend because she was mean.

I was upset after the long friendship we had, she would give me this (not that i was expecting anything).

Is it alright to feel this way?

omg i feel like a idiot. we were the best of friends but that just wasnt enough for me. hes so cute and **** and i just had to have him 4 my own. i did little things like got him little gifts and flirted and such, and wore **** clothes around him all the time. one day i took him into the bedroom and started kissing him and he pushed me away and said look uve got to stop trying to change me & accept me as i am. im not homophobic and id be fine with anyone else being *** but not him hes so cute i want him to be my bf!! but now hes not even my friend anymore

I try to get this girl to be my girlfriend for months, and she told me she does not want to settle down right now. So then I just gave up on her but we still agree to continue our friendship. I gave her a V day gift (this happened before I gave up on her), and I received a heart shape photo frame with a heart shape picture of me and her on the White day (The white day is the day that girl suppose to give guy gift as a return) Anyway, I don’t really know what she really want by sending me such gift on such day. Could anyone give me some honest opinion? Thanks

I told her I cannot date right now but that I do like her, but she wants our friendship to grow. I was thinking of what I could do to show that I just want to get to know her better, and I thought an e-card for V-day would be a nice gesture. I have a real gift but will not see her today, but this is just to show I am thinking of her. Should I do it? How might she take it?

this girl that i know, we were like the best of friends, she would always smile and her laugh was so loud and she always loved talking to me. and it wasnt like i was forcing her to talk to me, anyway our friendship was one of the best things in my life and i was always happy to see her, me and her been threw bad times together too, i remember yelling at her and making her cry but she forgave me that same day but i dont know now, our friendship went downhill all of a sudden and she says shes not mad at me but now its like she avoids me and she doesnt like talking to me around ppl and now she always quiet with me and even when we are alone she is quiet but she is happy and normal around other ppl but when im around her, her mood changes quickly and its been hard on me because i was nice to her and if i did something bad i would apologize and i was the only person to give her a gift on her birthday but its like all that was nothing to her now and it hurts me alot how negitively changed she is with me now. and i always think about her and its hard for me to move on but i want to move on too.
