At an American Thanksgiving Dinner is it still socially acceptable to drink from a keg of beer at the table?
drampor asked:
I’m from Canada and this will be my first American Thanksgiving celebration ever ( I’m so excited about it, Sweetie’s Momma is making sweet potato pie and and candied yams and collared greens and everything!!! )! Up north we drink a bit of beer for our Thanksgiving but never more than a keg or two each, after all we have to be socially responsible; we still have to drive our dog sleds homes after the party! I don’t want to offend anyone so is it cool to drink from the keg at dinner or should I just fill up a couple of tankards and cool it till after supper is done? Thanks in advance for the help and I hope all of You Americanos have a great Thanksgiving Too!!!
Hey it’s just root beer,LOL granted lots of root beer….. but still!!!!!

No, it has always been necessary to use IV.
Oh…of course it’s fine…if they love you! Maybe you’ll be responsible for starting a new tradition in Sweeties’ family! You’ll probably even get Grandma lipping the Keg…Go Grandma Go!
I’d save the beer drinking for after dinner while watching the football game.
Happy ThanksGiving!
uh…not!!!
Isn’t Thanksgiving a football day? Gotta have the beer.
And Michigan, are you still cryin?????????
i wouldnt do awhole keg but i dont see why you could not have a few beers afterward. cause usually after thanksgiving dinner the guys go watch football.
You can drink the beer at the table, but to show good manners, leave the keg off in another room.
I think personally no, but hey what ever blows your skirt up, just remember what your thankful for, party on dude
It would be perfectly acceptable to drink straight from the nozzle of a keg. AAMOF, it is considered a sign of good breeding and the host or hostess will be even doubly complimented by a loud belch after you drink!
i would, dont see anything wrong with that…except all of my family has decided to not cook anything this year…my grandmother always did the cooking in the past..and shes getting really old….so i am just gonna go to work instead of having thanksgiving this year
That would be a no….
