Am I suppose to buy a gift for a Bachelorette Party?
jenlampshade asked:
I am going to a Bachelorette Party and am wondering if I am suppose to buy a gift for the bride-to-be. Am I suppose to bring party favors too or is that somethig the maid of honor does? Thanks!

The last bachelorette party I was at everyone brought a small, silly gift (probably no more than $10 apiece) for the bride– stuff that I think she was probably embarrassed to open!
I haven’t brought a gift for most. For one I was the maid of honor and made a basket–I asked each girl to bring an item for the honeymoon for the basket. It was a lot of fun to see what everyone brought. And the bride had a nice little basket.
You could ask the maid-of-honor what she needs–she could probably make a good recommendation.
Just pitch in money to help pay for the entertainment.
The maid-of-honor should take care of the party and the party favors. You’re not required to bring a gift to a bachelorette party. I mean, really — the bride has a shower, you give a gift. The bride has a wedding, you give a gift. NO need to give a gift for bachelorette party. Most bacherlorette parties consist of getting drunk!
To be sure, ask the maid-of-honor what she suggests. She probably has a theme planned out.
Well, we didn’t go that route at my bachelorette — we just all went out and I didn’t have to pay for anything…That’s a pretty big gift…But I had
already had a “lingerie/honeymoon” type shower…
Still, I think if everyone pays for the night’s activities, it’s kinda rude to
want them to do more…
I suggest you ask the hostess (maid of honor) what they are
expecting.
Yes you should take a gift that is geared toward her honeymoon experience. Smiles. Have fun!
I think you are supposed to bring the bride a honey moon themed gift like lingerie.
