a gift for an amazing teacher?

well, my english teacher is the best teacher i’ve ever had. He is also our division (home room) teacher. Unfortunately, he will be leaving this summer. He is moving to India to become a teacher there. No he is not Indian. But yea, my division and I want to buy him a gift in addition to the going away party/bbq we’re throwing him at the beach. Well, he is around mid 30’s, loves writing, literature and photography. No, a camera is not an option since he has the best camera out there. So, what would you recommend?

You and your classmates should make him a scrapbook. Each student has a page with pictures and you guys can all write something to him. He will cherish that forever.

well.. something meaningful like getting the whole class together for a photo.. maybe get him in it then get everyone to write a message to him on the back… also buy him something.. not too dear.. unless everyone wants to chip in! like… emm.. well I dunno about that part but make it original.. & useful.. =) & a book… but by an author he actually likes.. and ask your dad or a man around his age.. another teacher.. other peoples Ideas might spark something or your dad or w/e can give you good ideas..

Get him a gift card to a bookstore (i.e. Borders or Barnes and Nobles) or a gift card to some store he can buy photographic equipment
gifts for women
You could get him a few books on India’s culture, history, and anything else he could know. This would help him learn more about India, and since he loves literature and writing he would really appreciate a few good books.

I would definitly get him a really nice card thats signed by all the people he knows at the school (or at least most!) and maybe a book, possibly making him a collage of India pictures and his students there, or a group photo signed maybe, tell him i said hi!
perfect gift
I would look into finding out who is favorite author is if you don’t already know and find a special (first edition or signed or both) book. It’s a very thoughtful gift that I would love to receive as a teacher.

are there barnes and nobles in india? because, teachers really like books. could you get him a gift card for B&N? or maybe a school yearbook that all ur class signs so he has something to remember everybody by:)
