A fun Mother’s Day gift my 5 year old can make for her grandma?

My mother is one of those people that has EVERYTHING in the world already. I thought it would be nice for my 5 year old daughter to make her something instead of doing the same ol’ card and flowers ***. Does anyone have any cute ideas for a youngster to do for Mother’s day?

Buy a terra cotta pot,some potting soil and a plant. buy some paint and let her paint the pot…then give it to grandma. I’d use a sponge to paint. Its prettier!
If you go to wal mart it will cost less than 15.00!!!
or you can buy those plaster hand molds and have your daughter mold her hand for grandma!

me and my son (3 years old) made a garden caterpillar. go to lowes or home depot and buy the garden stones that are smooth on one side and arched on the other (the ones that can be linked to make a circle) and one keystone shaped stone. we got green, yellow, and white paint (just a small can of each) and a can of spray sealer. we put the caterpillar together… the keystone is the head, and the others alternating the arch to the top, and then to the bottom (use as many as you want) paint the head either green or yellow- after it dries paint eyes on the head. paint three stripes on each of the other blocks (green, white, yellow). after the paint has dried spray with the sealer so that the paint doesn’t wash off. then once it has dried, the caterpillar can be used in the garden to block off a certain area or along a walk path.

For this mother’s day I had a family friend (who is a professional quality photographer) take a picture of my 7 year old brother dressed up in his tie and suspenders. Then I went to the store and bought a nice 8 by 10 frame and put the beautiful picture in it. And on Mother’s Day my little brother will give it to my Mom. He wanted something special to give, and that is somehting my Mom will love.
